1.3.4 Okay, time to keep this current again.

January 3, 2004:. 77°, hazy, humid

In the last couple of weeks, I've planted bluebonnet, sweet pea and mesclun seeds in the garden. Today I did a pot of nasturtiums. I'm not sure when to plant those, but this was my first opportunity, so it'll have to do.

We have not had a frost yet, so the cosmos are still going strong, as is the basil. And now that I mention it, so are the mosquitos!

I saw some pale yellow cosmos seed in the Seeds of Change catalog, but hated to pay more for shipping than the seeds, so hadn't ordered them. Today I stopped in at Smith and Hawken, and they had them. Even though the current cosmos are still blooming, we're due for a frost, so I'll hold of with these.
