Plönlein and Siebers Tower.
"Plönlein" (little place) is one of the most beautiful
scenes of a medieval town in Germany. It is formed by a fork in the
lanes, one leading off right to the Double-Bridge in the Tauber Valley,
and the other lane (left) leading out of the (former) southern Suburb
making a small triangular place. The name "Plönlein" originated
from the Latin name being "planum". In front of the small
framework house are a fountain and fish cages where the Tauber fishermen
kept their fish until time of sale. The Sieber's tower was built around
1385 and is a gate built at the first town expansion. **
