One year ago today, it was pouring in Dallas. We went to a lighting store and picked out a new dining room light, then stopped at Central Market to get the ingredients for our first attempt at Shrimp Paesano.

How do I know this? Because one year ago tomorrow, Kelly died. While we waited for news, we installed the light and cleaned up the dinner dishes.

Tomorrow I plan on starting a new tradition: donate blood on February 17th. Kelly got eleven units that day. If you are able to give blood, tomorrow would be a nice day to do it. If not, do something else good, and then hug somebody you love. And as Erica just emailed us, “Throw the peace sign all day!” *.
