Isolated thundersnow

One thing about Dallas, the weather (except in the summer) is always a surprise. Winds from the south, winds from the north – the difference is startling. Warm gulf breezes versus blue-northers. All fall we’ve had cold spells and warm spells, sometimes only a day long at a time, but never has it been so jarring as today. We went from having windows open yesterday and this morning due to temperatures in the upper 70’s, and now it’s snowing. I have already told the neighborhood kids we have a luge in the garage, so if the snow ever starts sticking I know I’ll be dragging that thing out and hauling small people around on it. Maybe it’s time I got some snow boots?
