As I mentioned before, we had to choose between two company parties and Lights in the Heights for tonight’s holiday entertainment, and we went for the latter. Similarly, last night we chose getting boxes from my friend Steve over the candlelight tour of the little historic houses in the park downtown, and going to see Drop Trio play at Cezanne over a friend’s annual party. Actually, we didn’t need to choose between the boxes and the tour, but Ed was late picking me up at Steve’s. Andrew’s party would have been fun, but Drop Trio was great. I have a CD they recorded at Cezanne, but had never seen them live and this was their last show for awhile while they work on a new CD. Cezanne is a very small jazz club over the Black Labrador pub (we had lunch there once, Mom and Dad), and was at least last night completely smoke free.
