To Missoula on the Northern Parks Ltd. |
Thursday May 25, 2000 Many Glacier hotel is undergoing extensive renovation, so we didn't see much on the inside. These hotels were built very quickly by the railroad for their passengers and not well built at all. We did see the inside of Glacier Park Hotel, which has an impressive three-story lobby with 30-inch Douglas fir columns and beams still covered with bark.
We returned to Izaak Walton Lodge for dinner and one more night's stay. Tomorrow we will journey by bus to the little town of Paradise, Montana, to begin our train trip across Montana. On the way, we will spend some time in the town of Bigfork.
