Monday May 29, 2000 - Yellowstone We entered the park at the North Entrance, just past Gardener, stopping at Mammoth Hot Springs. The plaque at the top of the arch says "For the Benefit and Enjoyment of the People." The first thing we noticed about Yellowstone Park is the abundance of wildlife - particularly elk and bison.
![]() Many were close to road and seemed to be almost tame. Scott says they have become "habituated."
