I've been out in Santa Barbara since Sunday night, and having a lot of fun. I've been to the beach twice, a star party to view Mars, hiking in the mountains and at a nearby lake, shopping and to the boys' school open house.

On Wednesday we went over to the UCSB pool complex. They have several pools, including a diving area with two high dives. It was my first time off a high dive in many, many years, and it was fun. Nico is a little fish, rarely getting out of the water whether he's at the beach or the pool. Aidan has also become a very strong swimmer. Nico has started surfing, but we've just been taking the boogie boards to the beach. He can stand up on that, too, though.

The kids start school on Tuesday, and Linda is looking forward to having a clean house. I met both their teachers, and got to see their classrooms. Their school is nice, although there is a lot of construction going on there right now.

I'll try to write once more while I'm here, now that I've figured this Mac stuff out!
