We have had a very business Christmas season, having spent the last two weekends out of town. We're paying for it now, rushing around trying to finish everything. But we had fun in Las Vegas and San Antonio. Both the Las Vegas hotels and the San Antonio Riverwalk were decorated extravagantly. The picture at left is the front door of the Alamo - note the cactus and antlers in the wreath!

We're having beautiful weather this fall and winter. No frost yet, so my cosmos are still going strong, even reseeding themselves still. The basil is still growing, too. I've put in winter annuals and planted bulbs and bluebonnet seeds, mesclun seeds, chard and sweetpeas. I like being able to garden this time of year because the weeds don't get out of control! And this year, autumn is late so we still have some very vivid trees.
