Antique Rose Emporium After over 40 years of not going to the Antique Rose Emporium, I have now visited it twice in the last month. And I have decided that the Antique Rose Emporium is where I want to live. Mom and Dad and I stopped by because we'd received catalogs and I'd heard the lore of the Texas Rose Rustlers. I went back with Becky on Saturday because she'd never been and even though I didn't need a rose, I want to live there. This time there was a string quartet, hay rides through the growing fields, and people were actually tailgating in the parking lot. Some of them had grills! I don't know if these were people who drove from far away, or what (it's over an hour away for me, but I saw a lot of out of state plates). And I bought a rose. Becky and I are now going to get serious about propogating roses. Our other plan is to buy the chicken factory and make it into a big garden. |
