Tropical storms, hurricanes, unseasonably cold weather in the north, unseasonably warm weather in the west, two cold fronts in a row for Houston IN THE SUMMER???? What's going on? Not that we minded having a beautiful weekend in August for the first time ever, but it does seem as if something is awry.

Speaking of disasters, Lizzie fell off the bookcase in the stairway again last night. This time she broke a tooth and got pretty bruised, for a cat.

Also, Erica has started school this week. Not surprisingly, it is taking all of us some time to adjust to new schedules and logistics, and all of us are feeling pretty stressed right now by all of it. I think by next week we'll have it sorted out, though.
