Last weekend we went with Erica on her official recruiting trip to the University of Texas in Austin. The trip was well done, and Ed and I left very impressed with the program and coaches there (that's the head coach to her right). Erica stayed with golf team members in the dorm, while Ed and I were put up in a hotel. Erica went out with players for pizza and karaoke; Ed and I (and the other two recruits' parents) were treated to great dinners at Austin restaurants we didn't know about before.

We all got to go to the UT vs. University of North Texas football trouncing game and on a duck tour of Austin. And we all got to visit the athletic facilities and sports medicine center.

Erica will probably go ahead with her plans to visit a few other schools, but as one of my friends said when seeing this picture, "she's going to UT".
