The Houston Astros almost, almost made it to the World Series this year after an improbable year-end run. The furthest they've ever gotten, and don't get me wrong, I love it when the local team makes it to the big show.

But I have been rooting for the Red Sox for the last couple of years, if nothing else to get them past this curse thing so we can pay attention to the teams we really care about again.

So I am glad the Red Sox swept the series, I am glad it happened during a total eclipse of the moon, and I am glad we got to see the eclipse right out our office window without taking our eyes off the game.
