Barbara Does Houston Barbara was in Houston for 48 hours this week, and I tried to give her a good overview of the city. Do you think this is a tour the Chamber of Commerce would endorse? Wednesday: arrived at airport, drove around the Heights, tour of our house, Goode Company Barbecue for dinner. Thursday: giant presidents heads, 19th street shops, including the Día de los Muertos altars at Casa Ramirez, Wabash Feed & Antiques, beer can house, Art Car Museum, Onion Creek Cafe, Howard Hughes' grave, Rice University, Japanese Garden, the Houston Zoo (2 baby giraffes), downtown Houston, Chuy's for dinner Friday: Williams Tower and water wall, Houston Arboretum, Buchanan's Native Plants, this house not for sale |
