Good Friday Man, it sure has been spring here for the last couple of weeks. Our redbud bloomed for the first time ever last week, long after the other redbuds popped, so we had given up hope. Roses have begun to really bloom, the pink jasmine is in full force, Louisiana iris are following their Dutch brethren. I have three roses to plant this weekend in the front yard, and the leaves are spring green (except for the pecan trees, they always come out last). The couple that bought the lot on the other side of Randy and Evelyn's former house are now trying to sell, it, and the plans they had drawn for it. Tomorrow is the eBay auction. I was surprised to see the plans -- very modern. When I talked to them, I thought it was a bungalow. Different stories on why their plan to build fell through. (p.s. I can tell by the first picture on the site that it was taken the a few days before St. Patrick's Day because we are flying the Irish flag and had not yet switched to the Erin Go Bragh flag). |
