A couple of updates ...

And here is a really cool use of google maps ... as long as you realize that you have to place a point wherever direction changes.

Houston had its driest June ever -- we did not get one drop of rain at our house. We've had a few minor showers in July, but driving around the city we see many dead mature trees, live oaks included.
