Bundle of nerves
Sorry if I’ve been a little lax on communication lately. The move and house sale is causing me a lot of anxiety, which I guess is normal. Here’s an update: the house was listed Monday, and people started coming by on Tuesday. We had four visitors the first day, one of whom made an offer. In fact, they’ve already had the house inspected (yesterday, which was one reason for the anxiety). We’ve continued to have showings, and today was the open house (another cause of anxiety). There were about 25 groups of people who came through and the realtor says the house is showing really well.
The cats stayed at Becky’s, and I think Dewey was even more anxious than I’ve been, but only for a couple of hours. I am going back to her house for dinner since it’s too much work to cook and clean up while the house is still on the market.
Ed said yesterday that we’re close to finishing the first of three nervewracking phases of the move (the other two being buying a house and then actually moving), but I reminded him that for me, I continue on with unemployment and job search, and then starting a new job, all in a new city where I don’t know anyone. Ah well, I know it will all be over eventually and I’ll be able to relax. Yay!
